Sarah Clark

Sarah Clark

Chief Executive Officer

As a leader in public relations and marketing communications, Sarah is a trusted C-suite advisor with more than 25 years of experience protecting corporate reputations and redefining perceptions on issues shaping brands today. She has led efforts to deliver outstanding results for companies in the retail, consumer product goods, energy, food and beverage, healthcare, electronics and manufacturing industries.

Today, Sarah drives the growth strategy and vision for Mitchell, the PR flagship of Dentsu Aegis Network. Sarah’s authentic and collaborative approach, combined with her deep and proven agency and client experience in corporate settings, has led Mitchell to expand its presence in North America and build a strong team and portfolio of some of the best-known brands.

Prior to joining Mitchell, Sarah was a senior member of the Walmart corporate communications team and an officer of the company. She led national media relations and helped lead the charge to protect Walmart’s reputation. Her efforts helped redefine how the company was perceived as an employer and gained Walmart recognition for its leadership in health care, environmental sustainability and economic opportunity.

Sarah also served in senior PR management roles in the telecom industry prior to Walmart.

In addition to serving as a board member and chair for the governance committee for a major corporation, Sarah is a member of numerous PR and women organizations, including the Arthur Page Society.

Sarah is recognized as an industry thought leader on PR and marketing issues of the day and her take on the latest trends can be read in publications such as Forbes, Huffington Post, Chief Marketer, CEO World Magazine or more. Forbes named Sarah as one of the “9 marketing experts CMOs need to be aware of” in 2017.

Chief People & Operations Officer

Sheerah Davis is a seasoned human resources strategist with over 20 years of HR experience. She oversees talent acquisition and retention, performance development and succession planning, learning and development, operations and agency culture. She also fulfills a leadership role within the Dentsu Aegis Network by providing strategic HR counsel and collaborating with her HR counterparts across the global network.

Sheerah is passionate about employee engagement and managing organizational change and serves in various roles with local non-profit and community service organizations. She holds a Master of Business Administration from Tennessee State University and is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) and recognized as a SHRM certified professional. Sheerah currently lives in Northwest Arkansas with her husband, Coby, their daughter, Shelby, and their fun-loving morkie, Jack.

Amber Cook

Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer, Amber leads the organization’s management of financial planning, goals, objectives and budgets. In her role, Amber serves as the conduit for all Dentsu financial reporting, forecasting and compliance. Amber has over 15 years of finance and accounting experience, having worked as a senior accountant, senior auditor, and most recently as a financial analyst and finance director as part of the Mitchell team. Amber holds a bachelor of science in business administration in accounting and a bachelor of science in marketing/management from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville. She, her husband Scott, and daughter Raylee live in West Fork, Arkansas.

Holly Gilbert has one of the longest tenures with Mitchell, having joined the team in 2002. Her 20 years of experience working with corporate brands and civic entities has proven invaluable in the agency’s work in media relations, internal communication, crisis management, advertising and corporate philanthropy.

Holly has provided public relations support to a number of high-profile clients in the retail, energy, food, education, CPG and CSR sectors including Walmart, Sam’s Club, Tyson Foods, Procter & Gamble, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, Walton Family Foundation, Walmart Foundation and National Institute for Excellence in Teaching. She applies a creative approach to business challenges and takes a never-settle attitude when it comes to idea creation and program implementation. Her work includes national and hyperlocal campaigns focused on brand awareness, driving sales and building relationships with the people and organizations important to her clients. Holly is also passionate about corporate philanthropy and creating programs that build better companies and communities.

Kay McDowell

Kay McDowell is a seasoned public relations professional with more than 20 years’ experience. Throughout her career Kay has created and led shopper PR campaigns; local and national media outreach initiatives; consumer product introductions and influencer marketing programs.

Kay is constantly thinking and acting on what’s next for the industry.  She led the way developing our influencer marketing practice by working closely with the team to create our unique, PR-centric approach. Today, clients rely on Mitchell for results-oriented influencer marketing campaigns. She also has a track record of success for securing coverage for clients in all forms of national and local media.

At Mitchell, she leads the Community and Consumer Packaged Goods teams. She works with a variety of clients, including P&G, Mattel, Walmart, Massage Envy, Arkansas Children’s Northwest and the University of Arkansas.

Susan oversees Mitchell’s Brand Reputation practice, leading a team of trusted counselors that help clients navigate today’s complex business, social and technological landscape. Working with clients such as Walmart, Marriott, Asahi Kasei, and Canon, the team specializes in protecting and building brand reputation through strategic positioning, employee engagement, change management, corporate social responsibility, executive communications and thought leadership.  Susan has a proven track record in positioning companies during times of transformation. She has served as a trusted speechwriter and strategist for Fortune 100 CEOs and senior leaders in business and government.  She loves partnering with brands to create authentic and meaningful brand narratives, combining data and emotion, strategy and storytelling.

John Gilboy

In his role as Chief Development Officer, John is responsible for driving client portfolio development while simultaneously offering day-to-day strategic counsel to our roster of client partners. With a passion for building brands, John is a marketing communications research strategist specializing in insights-based public relations solutions.  John taps into the hearts and minds of consumers to illuminate truths and infuse new energy and evolved positioning into iconic and emerging brands.

Sadie brings over 17 years of experience to her role as Chief Content Officer at Mitchell, the flagship PR agency of the Dentsu Aegis Network. In this role, Sadie oversees all content, digital, creative, and production functions. She is constantly curious and focused on delivering best in class, innovative creative solutions for our clients.

Prior to joining Mitchell, she spent 11 years in New York and Chicago at the global advertising agency mcgarrybowen, also part of the Dentsu Aegis Network, where she led digital client development. Sadie is an expert in building agile teams that can work across channels. She has worked with such clients as Verizon, Marriott, Chevron, Kraft, Anthem, AB InBev and General Motors. At Mitchell, she and her team collaborate across the agency to support clients, including Walmart, Sam’s Club and P&G.

Sadie began her career in digital advertising and web development at EVB in San Francisco. At EVB, she oversaw numerous accounts across a wide variety of industries including Gaming, CPG, Financial Services, Education and Entertainment.

Gina Miller brings a breadth of talent to the Mitchell team, with expertise in organizational development, talent management, instructional design and human resources. With more than 25 years of experience, Gina has gained a reputation for engaging others.

Her ability to quickly relate real-time classroom experience to learning objectives helps individuals to move from the known to the unknown, as they learn more about themselves and their surroundings. Her energetic and animated style, coupled with her use of humor, come together to produce an enjoyable experience for those with whom she works.

As SVP of Strategy and Data Intelligence at Mitchell, Bibi Persaud brings a cross-disciplinary approach to developing solutions that power brand growth across consumer, corporate and B2B efforts. She helps brands navigate complexity through powerful data-led communication strategies — with a specialty in connecting the dots and simplifying the noise.

With disruption at every corner and consumer loyalty up for grabs, Bibi believes that leading with human truth is fundamental to meeting and exceeding customer needs. She taps into her expertise in public relations, including corporate reputation, experiential, advertising and market research consultancy firms such as Edelman, Taylor PR, Deutsch and others to help brands find their unique voice and purpose. In her free time, she volunteers to help create opportunities for multicultural high school and college students in NYC to enter the marketing and communications industry.

Judy is the vice president of media relations at Mitchell. An executive with more than 15 years of public relations and marketing experience, she works with major global and national brands in sharing their stories via earned media and customized marketing campaigns.

A versatile communications specialist and strategist, Judy has worked with a diverse portfolio of clients – dozens of destinations, large consumer brands, influencers, and non-profits. Given her work with a wide range of clients, she has an extensive media network and knows what it takes to put brands and places “on the map” across major print, broadcast, online and digital channels.

Shelley Sorensen

Vice President · Consumer

In her current role, Shelley drives the development and execution of media strategy for consumer brands. She’s a believer in a “listen first” approach to digging in and truly understanding a clients’ business before providing 360 recommendations that bring the right mix of solutions together to build brand love and start conversations. Knowing there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to PR, she’s passionate about creativity and coming up with new ideas. Currently, she leads Mitchell’s work for Walmart, Barkman Honey, and a handful of food brands. 

Shelley got her start in advertising more than 15 years ago, working with the agency for Hasbro Toys (brands like Nerf, GI Joe, Transformers and My Little Pony). She’s also helped DreamWorks launch popular franchises like Shrek with the development of retailtainment programs. 

A love of giving back led Shelley to the Arbor Day Foundation to help build a cause marketing division aimed at rallying large companies around environmental causes. 

She lives in Lincoln, Nebraska, with her husband (a real deal detective) and three kids. And, reluctantly (i.e. the only thing the kids wanted for Christmas one year) an Australian Shephard named Moby. It’s no surprise her Enneagram is a 3. She’s competitive in the gym (and in life), and loves to try new things.

Sarah serves as VP of Corporate Communications at Mitchell, leading CSR and social impact strategy, CEO positioning and brand storytelling. She offers a blend of natural curiosity, a lifelong passion for writing, and 15 years of strategy and marketing experience with leading brands at the world’s top retailers. Sarah believes in the power of branding and the potential to influence consumers and change behavior through social media, shopper marketing and authentic storytelling. She has more than a decade of shopper marketing experience at Saatchi & Saatchi X, developing strategy for clients including P&G and Tracfone Wireless in both mass and club retail channels, and TWINOAKS, leading marketing campaigns, promotions strategy and logistics.
